Welcome Message

The Khon Kaen Middle Ear and Temporal Bone Dissection Course, initiated in 2003, was initially organized by the Otology-otoneurology unit within the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University. Prof. Kwanchanok Yimtae and Prof. Robert Peter Mills served as the course directors, and it has been conducted successfully on an annual basis ever since.

This course is designed for residents and physicians seeking to enhance their practical skills in temporal bone surgery. It offers comprehensive and up-to-date lectures by expert instructors. During the hands-on sessions, each participant is provided with fresh frozen cadavers to practice a wide range of skills, from basic anatomy dissection to advanced procedures such as ossiculoplasty, cochlear implant surgery, and endoscopic ear surgery, all under the guidance of experienced surgeons. Please make sure to check the course schedule every year, as it is regularly updated to accommodate emerging trends and evolving circumstances.

We aim to consistently enhance the course, all thanks to our committed team who have made this possible. Our heartfelt appreciation goes to the course's pioneers, Prof. Kwanchanok Yimtae and Prof. Robert Peter Mills.
